So THAT'S what it takes! ^^;

today's chat:Carolyn Hax: I forgot to mention that while Elizabeth is on vacation, we have Liz back for the day. If you want to make her feel at home, maybe send her questions with a flatulence element to them. Thanks.Carolyn Hax: For the record, I was just kidding about the flatulence questions.
Off the record, I'd just like to say how impressed I am by your efforts. I had no idea.
So, Carolyn finally got one of mine!Re: Simultaneous pregnancies: "stealing each other's thunder"? What, only one expected child is allowed to be celebrated at a time?
I'm with Carolyn on this one!
(Though, isn't thunder a euphemism for flatulence?)
Carolyn Hax: Today, everything is.
And there's the other thing--these cousins-to-be have a chance to grow up together, which can be a lifelong kind of amazing, vs. the one weekend of spotlight that we're debating here.
The funny thing is, after I read what I wrote, followed by her response, it stopped making sense. Thunder? How did that go? I totally forgot =p Such is the way my brain works--up in the grey matter, everything's in Hysterabic or Houndspeak or whatever made-up language it is that my brain uses to function, but once I translate it to English, something gets lost. [This may be why this "easy" manual-writing work I'm supposed to do nevertheless makes my brain crawl trying to get it done.]
I guess I also just don't ask things that interest other people/in ways that are interesting to others. Granted--and this was one of my questions that clearly doesn't take priority--I was curious as to how many THOUSANDS of similarly "Ooo! Pick me!" questions she gets that her producer wades through before passing along the better ones. It figures that I have to say something that's basically junk in order to break through, which tends to happen with the Neopets newsletter editorial* [though, I had to think about it but I do agree that happy news should just be shared and not be subjected to spotlighting--when Annaleise first told Stacy about getting married, Stacy also told her that she was expecting again, and neither felt bad for it].

TR2N! Y/N? ~lil_jen_aside
YES! :D Also:Jurors Summoned for 2/23/2009
Call-in-number 1 through and including 271
Cheese, that's a leap from today's summons! =o but... still out. Eh, I'll have my time 9_9 [ideally when it's more convenient, though I don't know how much more convenient it could get except getting summoned during a bout of unemploy]
C has been having a tough week, though it's more like a tough last two days. Yesterday--I forgot to mention--he came back to a notice that his utilities check had been returned NSF and he owed late fee + filing fee + $XXX additional rent, which is BULLSHIT [his words and emphasis] because it's the same checks and with more than enough money in the account. First, he checked his account online and called the bank when he didn't see the check come up [bank said they never saw it--HUH], then he went to the office to work this out.
As it turns out, the office entered the account wrong, so of COURSE it wasn't going to go through. Which, payment-wise, is strike two for this complex, I think? They lost one of ours after we dropped it off, which is why we do the whole receipt game now, or was that the last two places? [can't remember and don't feel like looking it up, 'cause it doesn't matter since we're moving out either way]
Today, UPS decided, since he wasn't home, they weren't going to bother leaving his games to pick up at the office and would just try again Monday. That's happened to me before, where I've wasted time walking up to the office and they said they didn't get anything. It's aggravating, this whole "everything happens during the 9-to-5 and nothing happens outside of that range" phenomenon: The neighbourhood post office is reducing its hours to open at 9a instead of 8:30a now, which means even LESS time for me to try to get there during the work week, besides the whole "You weren't home because you were at work, so you're not going to get your stuff" shit.
--now the even more ADD section =p
Kinda sucks thinking
Kurt Cobain would've been 42 today. I hate realizing I'm older than he ever was =/ for reasons unrelated to this preconceived "So-and-so younger than me has done more than I ever have and it makes me feel bad!" crap.
I have Parasite Eve on the brain due to somehow I thought I touched "All Songs" as a playlist when Mustang decided, eh, I'll just play the stuff without ID3 tags =p which means almost no variety and I get to listen to five hours of basically ambient music [Twinkle Star Sprites: La Petite Princesse and Jami Sieber were in there, too]. Yeah, I could also just add in the tags, but that's an awful lot of editing to do, looking at just how MANY files I've edited [clipped leading and trailing silence] and re-encoded for consistency.
I also have been using "virii" when that is
wrong. [Not the best link, but for humour value.] OH WERR =B
Also, not big on sports much, but
this is still sweet =3 *fuzzies*
Time to... do something else ¬_¬
