2552: I Palindrome I
Bed soon, so to try to get up for dinner. Actually, it would be nice if I had a palindrome-related riddle for today, wouldn't it? =p oh werr
It turns out that we've lost the summer help ["about time," as it were, since they were really around longer than I expected], so I was doomed to a night filled with Noisy Fucker goodness. It's frustrating biting my tongue and not exploding at him that I've been with the store FOUR YEARS more than he has, so it's incredibly patronizing for him to tell me what's what and how to do things, even when he's actually right for once. I got one good passive-aggressive counter, about Mister Vin calling out--when NF asked what Vin said his excuse was for calling out, I retorted, "He said he didn't want to work with Noisy Fucker."
Response: "...uh, I'll have to take that into consideration." [with appropriate DURR face and drool coming out of the corner of his mouth for emphasis]
Garth really has to have a better nickname than just one that's easy to remember. Like, "JULAY," since that's what he always shouts in my vicinity, or "Bleat," since that's sounds approximately like what he's doing when he shouts "JULAY" like that.
At any rate, Bleat said that he heard a rumour going around that if I drank water after midnight, I'd sprout like fifteen other mes* like a Gremlin, and there'd be sixteen Julies running around doing Super Backroom Work!... so after break he was going to take me in the back and make me drink a whole bunch of that Deer Park water. I responded that what it would do is have me in the bathroom the rest of the night 9_9
*I hesitate to type "me's" and totally destroy the meaning of apostrophes, but... for clarity ¬_¬;
Noisy Fucker ruined the joke by commenting how Deer Park water tastes more like Deer Piss water. I have absolutely no idea where he's coming from with that, or if he's simply trying to exude the "I'm cool because I detest this product" or otherwise turn the focus of attention back to himself, but it's just more reason I can't wait to NOT work with him anymore.
Mind, I've felt guilty about abandoning Dean and Noisy Gentleman and Frizz [though, Frizz called out last night, so her a little less so], which is the only reason I've stayed so late as I have even when I said I couldn't stand it anymore. After today, though, I just can't take late Fucker mornings--I told Dean I seriously couldn't be staying later than 9 absolute latest :/
[and I'll still hand in two weeks' by the 1st all the same]
Just to dally a bit, rather than revisit ones most people have heard before just yet, this one's from the "bull ate a time bomb" book:What one word will fill each of these blanks?*

*not all the blanks at the same time, but will work grammatically in any of the blanks
I did type that out before getting the book [again], so it's very different from what's actually in the book, but I think the syntax works a little better in mine, anyway. I like this one more than others I've posted, just because it tests an actual understanding of language and grammar [no tricks!--unlike this one... or this one... or even these ones 9_9;].
