2318: Sucks (P-O-T-A-T-O Mix)

Well, if the dryer guy showed up, I have no idea. I ended up turning in about 3p, feeling quite under the weather.

I got about halfway through The Mystery of the Mummy [if the walkthrough is any indication] before said frying of brain. Yeah, I used a walkthrough, in part because I don't want to spend hours walking around blindly trying to figure out what was the one place I didn't look but in part because I thought I had solved a puzzle and didn't understand why it didn't work. I guess the trick to this one is looking VERY CLOSELY at everything--especially with the awkward camera movements [like Zork Nemesis/Grand Inquisitor but w/ up and down angles as well]--and don't assume that just because you pick something up that it will have a use later in the game. \:'

I had to look up the first puzzle, for that matter--it turned out the answer wasn't as complicated as I figured it was o_O that I just had to guess which number to use, rather than subtract them like it looks like it suggests doing.

*shrug*

I still haven't figured out how to run Riddle of the Sphinx. Tech support really hasn't been helpful about it, and the game isn't even included on their list of games and technical manuals in the support section. I may have to get a dilapidated old laptop just to run old/shitty games like this :p or find a goddamn Quicktime 3 installer!

Kinda not sure what else to do... back to an unenthusiastic Holmes :pMummy: *SCARY DRAMATIC ENTRANCE*
Holmes: Hmm? That's weird.
Mummy: ... *leaves*
Uh. Yeah.

I should also mention getting a new Mew card! ^^ It came with a free DVD XD ...not the most I've spent for a card, unfortunately :p

puzzley, games, carded, seepy
