Sometimes we think that we're immortal. We believe nothing can hurt and nothing can go wrong. We think that we can save the world one step at a time. We think we can alter destiny.
The reality is people die, people hurt, and no one can save the world on their own. Destiny is already set and its going happen whether we want it to or not. Time passes and people grow up. Kids become adults and then they die. In some cases they die young. Not everyone lives a fairytale. Life isn't susposed to be easy. Life is a crazy mess with you thinking of yourself as the center of it. Basically, are we alone and drowning?
Optimism...it's such a precious thing. But when everything falls apart can someone still remain optimistic? Does optimism go along with being nieve or are they just simply innocent? Do optimists see themselves as the makers of the future?
What do we do when we lose optimism? How much can someone take till they fall apart? At what point do you simply give up?
Maybe it just takes simply a smile to restore that happy outlook or maybe it takes alot more.
