(no subject)
hello from (sunny) london!
we left canada amid sadness and coffee and donuts. justine took us to the ferry and tim hortons, and we sailed back to vancouver with chris. few busses to the airport and then we wrote some cards and ate some lunch before checking our packs in and played dutch blitz in the domestic terminal. goodbye to tim hortons and card castles before goodbye to chris (oh there were almost tears).
sat next to a lovely british couple on the plane for 9 hours while we flew over canada, greenland and iceland to meet jabra in heathrow. we weer almost denied entry because we didn't know which hostel we were booked into. oops.
went to the hostel and got rid of our bags, jabra went to a meeting and aaron and i went to greenwich... the home of greenwich mean time. beautiful park and area we really enjoyed. they do trap you in a maze of buildings about time and space, but other that it was lovely. we caught the tube back to liester sqare (i can't spell) and wandered around before meeting jabra and going to covent garden for dinner (italian). then to the eye for an aerial view of london - unbelievable that these things we have always seen on the tv are actually real, though at a distance they still see like a painted billboard! home to sleep (three lovely aussie girls from brisbane in the room and a confused japanese woman). and finally sleep.
this morning i was up early as i couldnt sleep. i went to see the boys and we went to breakfast (croissantsx2, tea and oj £4.95) at a cheap little internet cafe that had no internet. later we're going to camden and on a walking tour.
