Here goes...
I decided to do the Xmas wishlist. I don't think I did this last year, but the year before I did and it was pretty good. So here goes!
If anyone needs my address for this, I shall PM it to you :)
Step One
# Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
# If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
# Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
# Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
# If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
1. Pukka Pads!. I love these, particularly the Vibrant Purple ones! I'd love a big A4 one and then a mini one. I use them a lot! And I'm running out of space in my old ones. I think I got mine at Tesco or WH Smith in England, which is why I can't get anymore! :\ You can get them on amazon I think. Some pretty pens/stationary would be nice to go with. I love stationary ^_^
2. A fun multi-fandom vid to some or all of my favourite TV shows. Would make me squee!!
Fandoms: Lost, Heroes, Supernatural, The OC, The Listener, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars...check my profile for more!
3. A crossover or AU vid. Could be for one of my favourite crossover/au pairings, a triangle vid, anything perhaps with a crazy plot like I'm attempting with my Project OneX vid. :D
Favourite AU pairings: Charlie/Ana, Charlie/Kate, Charlie/Shannon, Charlie/Sun, Claire/Miles (lost), Peter/Niki, Peter/Tracy, possibly even Peter/Claire (Heroes), Crossover pairings: Claire/Peter (Lost/Heroes), Peter/Kate (Heroes/Lost), Dean/Niki (SPN/Heroes), Jess/Veronica (GG/VM). Charlie (lost) and someone from Heroes? :D Any other crazy crossover/au pairing you think I might like?
4. A fanvid for my Heroes Confrontations fanfic! Would be SO awesome, but unlikely :S:S Worth a try!
5. A fanfic for one of my vids. Preferably one with one of my fave characters - sometimes I vid for characters I'm not that interested in :P But Switchback would be a good one to do, or Kill Me, Kate. Anything with a plot like that would be cool!
6. An awesome header for my LJ with all or some of my favourite characters/people on! Doesn't have to be the size it is now, but would be nice to keep the width quite large!
7. A fun or silly Christmas (or non-christmas w/e) fanfic with all or some of my favourite TV shows/characters. FUN! :D :D Would love this!!
8. More participants/people interested in my Virtual Stockings idea. (botton of that post).
9. A long or short leather jacket...... My parents got me this! Uh, I'm changing this to.....anything you think I might like. xD Cheating? I can't really think of anything else.
10. A movie DVD. Old or new (as in second hand or brand new, I don't mind!) I'm not sure what film but if you have one you don't want anymore and think I might like it, I wouldn't mind checking it out :D You can ask me if I already have it :) I've seen all my DVDs and need more, lol. I'd quite like Ice Age 3 on DVD, but I'll give anything a try. Also need Austen Powers International Man of Mystery, because my Video player ate it! :S:S Alternatively, you could upload/send me a link to a film you think I might like!
