At this point, I almost think it's worth it to hold out for Red Square to start hiring in early April. Or at least only take temp jobs until then. Starting Monday I'm getting back in touch with my temp agencies. And starting right now I'm going to the ETC portion of Craig's List to see if anyone needs a room painted or something.

I really think I've got a high chance of getting a job here. If persistence is the key, well, I've certainly been persistent. They know me here now as the one who keeps asking about a job. And if I can get in here when Mae, the owner, is around, I can talk to her directly about it again and express how truly and muchly I would love to work here. Perhaps, in doing so, I'll use a real word instead of "muchly."

UGH. I should write a song about being unemployed. It would be frenetic with occasional calm periods, and lots of discordant twangs and misleading chords that suddenly go somewhere else entirely, with the occasional major tweedle that ends in a sudden drop into diminished land.

I'm thinking long and hard about my circle of fifths tattoo as well, and I think I want that to be my next one. Middle Earth is gonna be expensive, and I want to wait for a big Queen kick to get my Queen tattoo. Maybe I'll get the circle of fifths this summer.

In other news, Sarah's coming back tonight, and that makes me happy. Unfortunately, much of the time I wish I could spend with her will have to be spent jobhunting. Maybe I can persuade her to drive me around a bit? ::sigh::

Now I'll go back to nursing this giant ethereal hole in my stomach.

work, in other news, tattoos
