I Liked This a Lot (Old entry from 12.18.04)

This is from a very unexpected night out with Sebastian and Evan two friends from school. This is probably the first time I ever hung out with Evan. We just finished our first 3 terms at film school and partied til late.

SITTING IN MCDONALD'S

I tell the guys that my favorite oldies song is "Needles and Pins" and that my favorite Cmas oldies song is "Blue Cmas" by Elvis and Sebastian says "What other songs have been done by Elvis?" He's perplexed and Evan and I just look at him like "you've got to be kidding!" After a moment of thought, in the middle of cheeseburger bites, Seb says, "AAAHH, he's done so many, that fucker!" and Evan and I just burst out laughing 'cause how can you get on someone's case who's dead?
After burgers, we said our goodbyes to Seb and started walking home. It was 20 to 4 and not a car in sight on the usually jammed streets. So, Evan and I became kings of the road; chasing each other and hiding and surprising. The air was super dense with moisture and yummy rain forest smell. We walked in this garden above the street next to waterfalls and cmas lights and dragged in the air thru our nostrils. I felt like the air molecules were extra thick and my lungs could never get enough. Evan kept hiding on me up there as well. I think there's a lot of fun in hiding and letting someone pursue you and eventually letting yourself be found. So, we walked and I eventually got home with Evan telling me about the funniest cartoon films he ever saw. Our conversation went like this.
E: You know that movie with Donald Duck's nephews, Huey, Duey, and Luey and Uncle Scrooge? Oh, yeah, I think it's called 'Ducktales the Movie' yeah, and huey, duey, and luey have to save Uncle Scrooge's fortune."
C: Yeah? Like every episode of Ducktales!
E: Yeah, well, I watched it and it was really good. But you know what's even better than that movie?
C: What?
E: A Goofy Movie. Have you ever seen A Goofy Movie?
C: No, but my best friend talks about it all the time.
E: Yeah, well, it's really funny. But you know what's even funnier than that?
C: What?
E: An Extremely Goofy Movie. My mom bought me An Extremely Goofy Movie in highschool and my friend Jenny and I got a 12 pk of beer and watched the movie and we were like 'no way is this going to be better.' Then at the end, we were like 'that was really good.'

Then Evan started talking like Jimmy Stewart and it was hilarious.
