Another Birthday
In a few days it will be my 51st Birthday.
Birthdays have always made me uncomfortable. I'm always mixed between the desire to crave the attention or to shun it. Hence, I've often been in a bad mood on my birthday.
I never knew how to graciously accept gifts. I become Ralph Kramden.."Humina, Humina, Humina..."
My wife knows how to graciously accept gifts. She knows how to do virtually anything. Note to self: Find something that you can do better than your wife. I know, I'll challange her to a game of basketball.
My worst birthday was my 30th. I was stood up on a date by a crazy girllfriend. I think that I'll write about her soon.
My best was my 50th. My dad had had surgery, and this was the first time that the entire family went out together after the operation. I treasure that day!
Being 3 times 17, I think that I'll grow up this year. So those of you who are reading this, test me, give me gifts. I have my eye on a new Porsche. I'll graciously accept it. A European vacation would be nice. How about a nice new camera!!
I can't wait for this birthday!
