Today is DD2's birthday. I was just reminiscing about her birth, looking at old entries. She's 8 now. My baby is 8. Waaa.  Born on a Friday the 13th, a charming person to have in my life.

Yesterday was Mother's Day, but I don't make a big deal out of it and I called my mom, but she didn't answer. We can't even get a hold of DH's mother right now.

I put DD2 in bed with no diaper. *facepalm* I really hope it works out. Really. Really. I'm so tired of dealing with diapers and I need her to be diaper free by the end of July. Well, need is a little strong, I admit, but it would make life so much better.

In other other news, my teeth looked fine and I still hate Home Depot.

DD2 seems to have finally mastered both peeing and pooping on the potty. It might be too early to say for sure, but two weeks ago I thought she had it down and then she went back to using the diaper. I'm hopeful this time. The last step is nighttime, but she can wear a diaper to bed until she goes to college for all I care! Sorry if this is TMI ( Read more... )

 DD2 just spit up.  I think it's because she has a runny nose that's draining into her stomach.  Please send vibes that it's not a tummy thing as dh and are supposed to leave in half an hour.  She's not acting sick, but a little mojo would be appreciated.

Apparently that was a nap.  Dammit.  I wonder if she'll watch Madagascar with me.

DD2 fell asleep on the mat on the floor at 6:15.  I don't know whether to be terrified or elated.  If she sleeps until 7 tomorrow morning, it will be most excellent.  All other scenarios are less than pleasing to contemplate.  My guess is that she was just completely worn out from all the late nights this week and it finally caught up to her.
