Ok, so, we ended up with 8 live chicks. 2 tried to hatch, but never made it out of the egg. I don't know what happened. :( One has curled toes. I think it's a sort of birth defect. But seems fine otherwise. I'm honestly shocked that we got any. The temperature was really hard to manage this time. So, here's a pic of them from earlier.

We sang all weekend. My allergies are in full swing, along with the pollen, and my voice sounds like crap, so I didn't do any podficcing today. Hoping tomorrow is better. *crosses fingers ( Read more... )

We are up to 11 chickens. We have only taken six out of the incubator so far. I'm hoping one more will hatch and then we'll see about the remaining three. The exciting news is that all four of our farm eggs hatched and the chicks look different from the 4H chicks. Fun!

DD1 has predicted I will get nothing done today. I aim to prove her wrong. Well, plus I have no choice because I have child shuttling and errands to do this morning.  I'd rather get nothing done.
