What is my life?

Feb 18, 2014 20:00

I just started watching Pushing Daisies. I may not emerge for a few days (weeks?). Lee Pace! The women! The PI. This show is so freaking clever and quirky. Waaaa. Why did it only have two seasons?

Also, I hear Almost Human is on the verge of being canceled. Boo fucking hoo. Not happy.

Ok, in other news here's what I did today:

Woke up at 6:45. ( Read more... )

I really could not get into Almost Human, (think I've just watched too many cop buddy shows/movies) but having said that, I am watching True Detective, and WOW, it's really really good. (although I wouldn't call them buddies!)
I don't think Pushing Daisies got to our TV, I've heard of it, but don't think I've watched it - something about dead people/death??

I've got two at home today, one has no school, and the other fell down some stairs (at school) and is hobbling around

Saw your tweets on the whole SFWA saga - OMG is all I can say

Hunh. I am 50/50 on the buddy cop shows, but the Blade Runner vibe in Almost Human is dazzling and I love McKenzie Crook in it. His character is delicious.

I never heard of Pushing Daisies until recently even though it aired a couple years ago. I'm watching it on Amazon. It's so quirky and playful and morbid at the same time. The humor in it is right up my alley.

Oh no! I guess it's just a leg/ankle issue and not a concussion type thing. Still. Unexpected company always throws me for a loop.

UGH. The SFWA stuff is just ridiculous. I didn't even tweet *that* much.

I only watched the first episode, I did like McKenzie Crook in it though (even though a bit cliched!)

Its just her ankle - hopefully more bruised than sprained.

Oh well, you and I might be in line to get sued by whoever thinks that reading/retweeting something in a public forum is libel!!

Well, Crook's character (Rudy) actually gets character development throughout the series. I wish the women had as much development, but take what you can get, right?

:::hugs::: to her. You iced it, I'm assuming?

LOL. I doubt we will get sued for libel. But bleh, I'm just so tired of women systematically being shut down.

Its sad, but we take it were we can get it!

Iced, elevated and bandaged tightly (plus she gets to sit on her bed with the Ipad not having to do anything, so in her eyes its a bonus!)

I don't think so either, but the threat was amusing! (the rest - not so amusing, more depressing really)

I really liked Pushing Daisies.

I want to like Almost Human more.

Did you ever watch Life? I really enjoyed that, especially the competent female partner.

Pushing Daisies is just so clever. And I love complicated characters, which we get in spades here.

Nope. Never saw Life.

I think a lot of people feel that way about Almost Human:(
