I don't think I have to say something new here because most of my reasons were mentioned already.

I always was pretty ambitious and I love getting positive feedback. Unfortunately I don't get it via writing anymore (or at least less than a couple of years ago). So I'm always a little bit jealous as well.

But that's only one reason. There are two significant others:

Personal outlet and creativity. I consider myself a creative girl. I always did something creative since I can remember. No matter if it was in school plays, drawing, singing or writing. The last couple of years sewing and embroidery were being added to the mix:) It's fun!

Another reason is that I want to make people happy with the things I do creatively. A baby blanket is the perfect example but also other things. I love to get DIY things because I know how much love and work and passion it means. And I myself invest these as well when I create for others. Of course the first reason - approval and/or praise go hand in hand with it - but first and foremost it's for others and not for myself.

Sorry to be taking so long to get back to you. LJ was so very wonky.

Just wanted to say, yes yes yes to the creative outlet and wanting to make other people happy. Yes! I love to create things as a means of expression, but when someone else gets excited about something I've made (be that a story, some food, or a quilt) it really makes my heart sing too!
