Ok, that was unexpected, but rather fun.  I met up fuzzytomato02  who is in the area on vacation.  It was rather spontaneous.  She and her hubby came over for fireworks and we hung out for a while and then I attempted to bring them back to their hotel.  Only I got directions to the wrong hotel.  Luckily, they knew where they were staying and so we worked it out

You've seen the Dr Who ep where Donna turns right instead of left and she has to turn left to change things back? It makes me think of that.

Ah, sounds lovely! I loved the tv show Ten Things I Hate About You. I had a mini crush on the actor in that movie and the girl was adorable too. I have no clue who Joseph Gordon-Levitt is. Must go google him now:D

Oh, Lola, it was so much fun!

She didn't have her kids with her! She and her hubby are having a little vacation away from her kids, which worked out ok as they didn't show up until 9pm.

I'm sure that my kids would get along with other fans' kids though, as they get along with my other nerdy friends' kids:D They do better with our friends' kids than the kids at school, in fact (although DD2 can play with anyone. She's not nearly so picky:)).

LOL though. Mini nerd gathering indeed.

Me too! I have met up with beeej, but she doesn't write fic, so it was a completely different kind of conversation. I think it might have different still if she had been solo, but it was still crazy fun!

Aw, thanks:) I almost strangled said kids today. It took us until 2pm this afternoon to get out to an hour's worth of errands. ARGH. But they definitely have their moments.

And THANK YOU for braving the metro and coming out to my scary house!

*wince* Sorry I got the wrong hotel. I would have had you back an hour earlier had it not been for that. Ugh, such a classic mistake on my part.

Definitely let me know when you are back in the vicinity. We have to do it again, sans hubbies/families next time!
