I'm here
Just trying to survive the last few days before school starts. I sent out an email begging people in the babysitting coop to take my girls and I got plenty of offers, so I had the afternoon off and I will get tomorrow morning too. Heck, I would have taken a third offer, but I really don't think I can fit it in (on Friday).
I managed to get to the Farmer's Market this morning and spend over $60 on produce. Yikes. But we will have yummy dried nectarines and also yummy roasted tomatoes as a result of my efforts.
After fighting with feeding the kids, I sent them over to a coop family for 2 1/2 hours. I got the tomatoes roasting and started bread. It took forever to deal with the bread; I don't know why. DH reports that it tasted kind of bland. I haven't tasted it yet. I also made dh beans for work today. And I unloaded the dishwasher.
After DD2 went to sleep, I chatted with the former webmistress about the webpage and FrontPage and the program I'm trying to use for a while. Then I went to the cheap grocery store for paper goods and other sundries that Whole Foods doesn't sell (Huggies:P, etc). Came home and finished cleaning up in the kitchen and put groceries away.
I am hoping to go to bed soon. Tomorrow morning I will put away a load of laundry and do some more cooking. I might try to work on quilt for friend's baby due in Oct. I think I want to do some sort of really seriously modified log cabin type deal. Like, one log cabin block:)
