Plant
I was looking for verses having to do with gourds today, since gourd Pokemon are still on my mind ^_^ I expanded my search to include the more generic term "plant" since I know that's the word the NKJV translation uses for the kiykayon that shaded the prophet Jonah (which some people think may have been a kind of gourd). Found this verse in the song of Moses...
"You will bring them in and plant them
In the mountain of Your inheritance,
In the place, O Lord, which You have made
For Your own dwelling,
The sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.
The Lord shall reign forever and ever." -Exodus 15:17-18
About 500 or so years later, God said this to David through the prophet Nathan: "Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously..." 1 Chronicles 17:9
"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope." Psalm 130:5
