The skies are light when I leave the office these days. The wind is still cold, though. Every few days, there is snow in the morning. One morning this past week, the visibility was so low and the snowflakes so large that I thought I was inside a snowglobe :)
Inside, there is plenty to do. Reports require recalculation. Websites are being updated. Staff are being trained. I am packing my bags. At the house, there are bills to pay, floors to sweep, and paperwork to complete. New roommates are being welcomed and old roommates are being welcomed back.
The days are sustained by God's love and sprinkled with joys. There are blooming flowers, hot chocolate, soft plushies, Star Trek adventures, and encouraging emails. I'm ready to go home. Thank you, Lord, for these blessings - for your love and the love that I'm shown each day by those you've put in my life.
The days have been full and I've felt the strain of new responsibilities. Minccino growls at those. But then she laughs and smiles as I sip some hot tea. We will carry on. We will take rest as we can and look to the One who gives us strength and order and beauty.
"Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them." Ezekiel 20:12
