Dive into...!?
At the office, I tire out more quickly when I'm waiting than when I have a series of reports to run and errors to debug.
When I'm working on a report, I slip into processing mode. I dump all the data blocks on the screen and sort them into place until order is achieved and meaning is found. When I'm waiting for a new assignment, though, I find that I can't rest. My system is edgy. It's ready to jump into the data pool at any moment...but...where is it? So my foot starts tapping, I pick at my fingernails or my lanyard or my plastic watch band, and my eyes dart from webpage to webpage looking for something to latch onto so I can commence climbing. At the end of the day, I feel like my brain has been in a million different places and I'm exhausted.
