The Most Holy Place
In the Most Holy place, what does one do? One enjoys the presence of the LORD.
This is something that has come up more often in Bible study and church. It is something I could really take to heart. It's easy for me to feel like what I do is not enough and not significant and that I need to prepare for some future task. The last time I prayed at early morning prayer, I was asking God to show me His way and to lead me the right way. I was so troubled, so shaken, so fearful that I would not do the right thing. And you know what answer I seemed to get? It was not a life path decision or a reprimand.
The only words that came to mind were: "My daughter."
Now, aren't those two words are worth the meditation of a lifetime.
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!" I John 3:1 (By the way, the exclamation mark is there - I didn't add it^^)
God's Son took the guilt of my sin upon his body and since accepting this justification and new life, now I am accounted as a child of God. And of all that I could give, God wants my sincere and honest heart above all the work and tasks of men. 1 Samuel 15:22! So why is it that I worry so much? Now, Christians are not to be lazy and thoughtless. At the same time, we can enjoy the peace of standing before God and with Him. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1 I think God wants His children to enjoy the peace of His presence more. Or at least, that is what I think He was trying to tell me, the one who worries and fusses so much.
"Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Luke 10:41
What what was it that she chose to do? Mary "was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to His word." Luke 10:39
May I come to the Most Holy Place in the tabernacle of the LORD to speak with Him and hear His word. May I do it everyday! Psalm 21:6. Psalm 27:4. Luke 17:21.
