These days I find myself day-dreaming of going ice skating down the
Rideau canal. I've only been ice skating once, but it was a lot of fun. I didn't fall down a single time, which made for a pleasant experience! Somehow, I think I might fall down a lot more out on the canal (there's no railing to hold onto)... Still, it looks like so much fun. And to end it in a mug of hot chocolate. Now, that just sounds good!
Instead, I am struggling to finish the last of my work and setting up a plethora of meetings with students, my advisor, my company, and others. It was funny, though. Last night I decided to read my leather NKJV Bible as I wound down for the night and I ended up reading Isaiah 40. I had never read Isaiah 40 all the way through before. When I got to the end I was surprised. I have heard these famous verses many times, but in context it came across as a whole different message. It felt more like Psalm 8:3-4. Also, Psalm 107:8 -
"Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!"
