I did wonder at that "no more politics" idea given you are a fairly educated political sort. Happy to see your rant.

There's more to come on that front. (Wait til you read my rant about the economy and WHY it's screwed, rather than the reasons given by our government. :)
As for announcing my candidacy, Let me go ahead and say that I would be pleased to be voted for even as a write-in, whether or not I would win, given my abrasive nature, is another story entirely.
