At current employer I am on pager duty 2 weeks out of ever two months. Pager duty is being on call when something happens to a critical system. It isn't the great but it comes with the territory. I was always on call with $PREVIOUS_EMPLOYER but never had to worry about things much after 2000hrs. I had a 6 hour response time after 8. $

I guess my Marli was lucky! Whenever my pager or cellphone went off, she'd wake up, give me a hug for good luck and instantly fell back asleep...

But yes, sometimes it does suck for the SO's...
