I think one of the great things of giving most things a go, is when something that you know will bring benefits, yields other wondrous things, things you wouldn't have even contemplated when you began.
One such example is the Counselling course I am studying part time, it is only recently, after 3.5 years of essays and practice on coursemates that I have been let out into the real world and real people's minds, which is of course terrifying.
The difference between this and most other things I am/have been terrified of (such as job interviews, chatting up women, walking over motorway bridges), I didn't fuck it off and not bother, I stuck to it, as it is so important to someone else, not just me and I KNOW the real benefit of doing it, it can help and may be one of the most crucial things I do within my week.
As tempting as it is to run away, I much prefer turning up and doing something worthwhile, that's growth and it's ace :)!
P.S. Someone on here asked if I have quit LJ, I haven't! Here I am! Life is just busy at the moment, I rarely get time to post, but given chance, I have plenty to write, believe me!
