Updates, with pictures!
Preliminary pictures at least. The actual photo shoot will be happening tonight. But here is a front and back shot of the single grand pauldron that I made for an Alt.Kilt Steamshop special order request that will be traveling to Flipside and Burning Man this year. I am happy with how it turned out, and if the client doesn't like it we will take it back.
First project of this scale that I have done with the metal forming, and tried out several new techniques. I hope to make more in the future, and make them out of heavier material for SCA use. This pauldron is made from 22ga mild steel with a sprayed and brushed powder-coat finish with a few customer requested features: bottle opener, speaker system, lighting (EL ground effects under the arm plates) and distressing. It can be worn attached to the bandoleer as shown, or solo.
