Got a lot done this weekend and felt productive. Friday night I did some web work and took it easy.
Saturday morning I slept in after checking on the weather, yup there was Weather. Then it was off for some erranding. Menards to recycle some fluorescent tubes, get a fan and some pegboard hooks. Then to Target for a pizza stone, and on to the Credit Union. From there it was over to Harbor Freight for a
sheet metal brake. I had a 20% off coupon and the store had it on sale for $219 instead of the $259 on the web, so that and a few packages of air couplers was still under $200. Upon unloading the crate into the garage I headed over to the studio to work on things there. I managed to arrange stuff and figure out a method of attacking area above the ramp so I put up the remaining grid supports. That meant another trip to Menards for more of the long rails. Got those back and several of them hung and then ran out of the shorter cross rails. When I finish hanging the long rails I'll take a count and get the remaining cross rails. By this time it was time for dinner so I headed home. After a bit of swearing I finally got the hang of the pizza production method, and the night improved from there.
Sunday morning was a little bit of sleeping in, and then out to the garage. I started by assembling the new brake and testing it on some small pieces. It works wonderfully, now to make the actual bending list for the oven liner and get on that. I then attacked the random messes in the garage, starting with the side wall cabinet bins. I sorted through most of them and used the newly re-found label maker. Then I cleaned off one of the back counters. I also cut the door panels for the other half of the cabinet, but since I had left the driver at the studio I still have to mount the hinges.
After chilling out inside for a bit I decided to attack the basement again. I was able to install one of the litter box holders the other day so I wanted to get the space for the other ready as well. In the process of clearing that space I decided the best place to stash the light fixtures I had for that area was on the ceiling. So I mapped out the locations and made joist hangers, retrieved the driver, screwed everything in and ran the electrical to the junction boxes. Next I'll have to make time to open up the boxes and wire everything in. When I do that I'll also move the vanity light to a separate switch. It was then time for tasty foods and some hanging out and movie watching.
