Got new glasses, which I really needed. Went to a pistol range with a friend to try them out. Was shooting a lot better now that I can see the target. Still need practice in general though.
And for those who are unaware, a friend of mine is shipping out day after Christmas to Basic Training. He's been a friend of mine for quite a few years, since I was in fourth grade. And without him around I'm not quite sure how things will go without him around. Guess we'll see, eh ner vod?
Still on the job hunt, although that's not a huge surprise. A lot of companies don't put out ads during the holidays, or slow down, except for retail. And I already put in for Holiday work at Sears, Best Buy, Toys R' Us (which have the hiring process from hell), BevMo, WalMart (took a step down), and a few other places. Well, if it comes to my last unemployment extension I start looking at enlisting. Army probably since it has the better sign-up bonuses. My family probably won't like it since it's not Navy, but there really isn't anything I'd want to do in the Navy. I think for me, if I have to enlist, it's either the Army or the Marines. And I don't think I'm tough enough to be a Marine.
College isn't a consideration right now because I don't have money to spare. A few community courses, yeah. And I found a college with a major that I actually would love to go into. But the cost is always rent, food and books. Figure I can get the Board of Governors Waiver so I don't have to pay tuition since I'm barely making any money. But said college is in Sacramento.
I'm in a rut right now. I do a few things around the house, talk with friends and go out with friends so I don't go insane. But my life isn't changing in the way I thought it would. I didn't see myself here several years ago.
On a side-note, I'm making progress on my Mandalorian armor. Got the helmet on it's way to me, and I found armor and a flight jacket for cheap. Now I just need the flak vest...
