Updating for the sake of updating? Well, not entirely.
edit (2/19): Can't believe I forgot this... On Feb 11th Kim and I went to the Lovestruck Ball.. a formal dinner/dance shindig/box-social/whatever. It was held at a ballroom at the Quality Inn in Ames. Really good dinner first, then 3-4 hours of dancing. We snuck out a bit early and headed out to central campus for some Campanieling time :). Neither of us had done it before, so it was fun. She was freezing wearing open-toed shoes, but it was worth it.
My parents finally sold their Arizona house.. They closed on the 23rd I think, are all moved out, and are now both up in MN. They'll move into their MN house some time in the first week in March. So that was a big relief for them. They didn't get as much as they had hoped out of the sale, but still made a sizable profit.
For Spring Break, my girl and I are going on a road trip. We're leaving Friday afternoon and driving to her house in Niwot, Colorado, arriving some time early Saturday morning. Staying there for Saturday and Sunday to hang out, then leaving Monday morning for Boise, Idaho, arriving Monday evening. Tuesday through Thursday will be spent looking for (and hopefully buying) a house or apartment out there. Friday morning we'll depart to head back to Ames, arriving Saturday evening if we drive staright through. Otherwise we may stop somewhere along the way.. depends on if we're interested and what there is to see.
0% interest is really cool.. am just making minimum payments on a couple of my credit cards, and won't have to pay them off until October of this year. I'm a bit strapped for cash now, so can keep all my crap on there until I start up with Micron. I have a few hundred in the bank for emergencies, but can use the card for stuff. I just have to be careful and not buy any aircraft or things like that. So, I went out and bought a new pair of tennis shoes yesterday.. New Balances, they're pretty sweet. My old ones were getting really worn out. I decided that I need to start exercising regularly. I almost always walk to/from class, but want to start running a few times a week. So I set a goal for Kim and I to get at least 30 minutes of exercise (walk/run) per day for (to start) 3 days/week. Starting Monday :). So we'll see how it goes. Then hopefully I can build that up when I start at Micron with all my free time :).
