A Sad Day.

Yesterday was a very sad day for me.  I don't expect anyone to understand, but a few out there will.  Yesterday I was forced to get rid of one of my greatest friends ever.

Let me explain....

Recently my Mom was told by the police that she had to tear her garage down.  Seems a neighbor that recently moved in has been going around and snooping in people's yards and stuff, and calling the alderman about things she doesn’t like.  She's one of those people that bitches if your lawn in a quarter inch longer then she feels it should be.  Personally I think if you want to be like that then you should move to a planned community in the suburbs.  But then I'm rather bitter right now because what this bitch did effects me greatly.  Seems she didn't like my Mother's garage.  I'll admit it was old and falling apart, but it wasn't a hazard as this woman claims.  So my Mom was told she had to tear down the garage.  Actually a good thing, but inside the garage was one of the one true loves of my life.  My 1986 Chevy El Camino.  After I bought her I told my Friend Z that she could name her.  The only stipulation I had was that is was a Spanish name.  She chose to name the car after a friend she used to work with who was Mexican.  So from that day forward my 1986 El Camino was referred to by friends and family as Myrna (yes I know its a Gaelic name, but I told Z she could name her, and I stuck with the name).  Well, I won't get into the details her, because its a new and fresh wound, and it hurts like hell, but I was told I had to get Myrna out of the garage ASAP.  Unfortunately I didn't have the time to move her to the spot I'd rented.  I just couldn't be there to get her into that spot.  So unfortunately I had to give her up.  With no time to find a buyer, I had to junk her.  Now Myrna hadn't run in about 4 years due to a blown engine, but I had always hoped to get her running again and make her into a much better hot rod then she already was.  But I never got the chance.

So for those of you that knew and loved Myrna, I apologize for not doing a better job to keep her.  For those that didn't know her, or think I'm being stupid...  Well, you just don't know, and probably never will.
