this semester
It's more than half way through my 2nd semester up here. I would have never thought to be where I'm at when I was this far into last semester. I was real pessimistic about being able to do well at all in college last semester. I had alot of friends around to kind of get me past acting like a little girl about everything, n I'm glad I had that. This semester is going fine. My grades are up, I'm sleeping an adequate amount & I don't have any real big issues going on. I've been keeping up w. goin to the gym & studying as much as I planned to. I also have been going to church about every other week on average. So I've been keeping up w. the goals I set at the beginning of this semester.
As far as break went, it couldn't have been better. I had a blast the first weekend at UF w. rich n al. Met some real cool people up there. I'm gonna try n go back in a few weeks once the work load dies down a little. After I got back to S. Florida I went to the beach, went to the gym, caught up w. a few old friends, n even went to miami beach for a night w. chad. It was good to see my family when I got back. We had some good laughs over dinner w. my dad n a few uncles the first night I got back. My grandpa looked real good for recently undergoing radiation treatment. He looked alot better than he did over thanksgiving.
Now that I'm back I plan on finishing off the semester strong. I'm hoping for 3 A's and a B...we'll see how that plays out. I also started practicing w. a new bassist who's real good, n we already got a few songs finished. Plus the singer I've been jamming w. is amazing. All we need is a drummer and we'll be set to play shows hopefully by the fall of next school year, if not sooner. So all is well & going good for now. It's important to enjoy the good times while they last, cos times aren't always gonna be that good; so I'm not bragging about how good everything's going...just saying how things are better than last semester.
