We have been doing some yard work around here to make the house look better. Today my dad was trimming some of the bushes with an electric trimmer when the cord got stuck in the bush. He reached down to loosen the cord, but at the same time his right hand slipped, causing the trimmer to fall on his left hand and badly cut his fingers. My mom rushed him to the emergency room at Flowers. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as it initially seemed. Once the doctors had cleared the wounds, they weren't too deep. His little finger was cut the worst, and the doctors said he might loose the tip of that finger if the stitches don't hold. His hand has to stay bandaged for a while and he can't get it wet.

It's sort of ironic... The only reason he wanted to loosen the cord was to keep the trimmer from cutting it. Instead, the trimmer cut his fingers and then still managed to cut the cord too.
