I guess it's time for my update.
Class is still ok. I have this week off since I already completed all the work for tonight and Wednesday.
I've been messing around with lvm and software raid on my server. Both of those have come a long way. I was able to get my computer to boot in under 20 seconds using a combination of raid and lvm. I'm going to keep trying different combinations and methods and stuff so that I can become a more advanced linux user. I also started posting occasionally to the ubuntu forums so I can try to help some newer users. Most of the people on those forums post just to post. They never have a real solution, and rarely offer anything valuable to the topic. I've started paying more attention to who the more helpful people are, but most of the people there are just annoying. Ok, I'm done :D
I started back working on a site I started over a year ago and then abandoned. Several of my friends said they would help out with it, but of course when the time came they all backed out. I'm sure it will happen again, but this time once I get it finished I plan to put it online regardless of who helps out. I'll post a link here once everything is running. I'm waiting for the final release of xmb before I put it online.
QOTD#1 (pretty typical post I might add):
"i'm browsing with 20 tabs opened and there's no problem with firefox. it's all about jelaousy, and irracional criticism. firefox is fast and stable. i'm happy for it's existance. no matter what a single gentoo developer says. after all, firefox is a standarn in unix world and gentoo i just another linux distribution made by special kind of people."
QOTD#2:
Relying on ethnic stereotypes to form opinions of strangers you've never before met in your life makes you just as ignorant and lazy as most Mexicans.
