Hands clasped, even through the thinly padded gloves for protection against the cool air, we'll feel the warmth from eachothers hands. We'll take in the feeling of Fall, knowing that once in a while, Mother Nature puts on a lovely show. That once in a while, Mother Nature goes out in a spectacular display of beauty. In all of Her splendor, we will watch Her and enjoy all of the lovely things such a time has to give. We'll drink apple cider to make us feel cold, Then the warmth from the hot cocoa will flow through our respective veins until they're no longer respective.
Hands clasped, we'll watch as Fall fades and Her trees reach for the ebony skin they've always wanted. We'll kiss so we can almost feel the cocoa running through our bodies again. We'll go on adventures to places we've never before seen, or never before seen correctly. The art museums will be incredible, we'll be able to feel the most beautiful paintings more perfectly, since the most beautiful paintings are only made out of love and can only been seen with love. We'll build a snowman, and go sledding, and play childish indoor games. We'll wear warm scarves and hats and vintage coats from our parents from when they were younger. Fasionable and cold, we'll warm ourselves up by a cozy fire, cuddling is bound to ensue. I'll wrap my arms around your waist and you'll pull me closer. Our bodies will become one shadow on the wall in the firelight. We'll watch independent films and argue over the intent of the director. We'll watch foreign films in a language we both understand, wondering whether or not their translations would be as beautiful. I won't wonder if we'd be as beautiful if we weren't.
Hands clasped we'll feel eachother's hands again, like we did in Autumn. We'll watch the ebony skin melt away from the carcasses Mother Nature left behind in Her beautiful display of Autumn. She'll whisper to us with a smooth and gentle breeze, with a hint of warmth. I'll whisper that I love you in your ear, with all the warmth of the meaning behind it. We'll smile at the life that has come from under the patches of snow that still remain. We'll listen to the birds sing a song more beautiful than we've ever remembered it to be. We'll ponder in wonderment at the powerful awesomeness the earth has to offer us. We'll be one with eachother.
Fingers interlaced, we'll drink coffee and quench the lust for completion in eachother. Our conversations will stretch far into the depths of night, and we'll never let go of their beauty. We'll wander into the warm night, looking for a lovely place to lie. We'll lay face-up at the sky, staring at the beauty the stars have to offer us. You'll lay your head on my chest and feel my heart beat for you. I'll feel the rise and fall of your body and know that its for me. We'll feel as big as the universe and as tiny as nothing at the same time. We'll stay out all night, the sunrise will give us strength in the morning, then we'll pad barefoot over the warm sands of the morning beaches, listening to the waves roll in and out as smoothly as Mother Nature intended them to. We'll build a magnificent sandcastle on the beach and call it our castle, always knowing we can seek refuge in eachother. We'll take long carrides down winding highways with the windows low and the volume high. We'll listen to beautiful music with the perfect chords to complement amazing lyrics. We'll listen as women with beautiful voices bang the keys on the piano and sing a sad, sweet melody. We'll wish our voices were as perfect, but we'll know we have something more beautiful. We'll feel the warm touch of the sun as we meander the sidewalks of busy cities in distant places. I'll respect you like the trees respect the wind. I'll hold open the door when we enter stores, or return to the car. We'll try on ridiculous outfits at stores with gold-trim. Always giggling at the exorbitant prices, never wishing we had more. We'll drive home and I'll walk you to your doorstep. We'll hold hands and kiss a kiss that was only meant for lovers like us, and wonder if anyone else has something as flawless as we do. I'll get into the car and drive off, and you'll close the door and lean against it, smiling and sighing, just like in the 80's movies we watched in the winter. I'll know that there would be nothing that would please me more than to be with you sixty years from now meandering distant highways, hands clasped.
...as soon as I find you.
