Oh. My. God. SO TRUE, with the water thing. Hell, that's how I feel about our use of water right now. (Why the hell do we pee in perfectly good water?)
That kind of thing makes this AU so real. Yay for focusing on details. :)
Thanks! I basically wrote this because of those little pieces. I had all these images in my head, these little ideas about how everyday life would be for her, and this formed out of those snapshots in my head.
Oh, this was all kinds of perfect, from the humour to the way she learns something from each of them - bonds with them, if you want - to the contrast between the desert and the City. To watching them fall. Oh, that just about broke me. And the final scene, it - it hurt, to see her fighting like that, the way they taught her, and remembering them (Frank, oh God ;____;).
Oh man, I'm not making an awful lot of sense, I'm kind of sick right now, and have had all kinds of sugary medicine, but this was seriously so perfect, especially with all the different contrasts that made me ache. I laughed too many times to count in parts, and her singing "We Are the Champions" at the end was just so bittersweet...
Yep, definitely not making any sense. I should probably just have came back in the morning, but I wanted to say it while it was still fresh in my head, y'know? >.<. More fool me

Eeeee! This comment totally made my day, sensical or otherwise. Thank you so much for all the lovely compliments. Reccing is totally fine, and thank you for that as well. :D
I just clicked through to your journal and saw the Killjoys header image and Gabe Saporta header line--have you read my fic Cobras Never Die? 'Cause if Gabe + Killjoys is your thing, you might enjoy it. :P
