podfic listening
I don't listen to podfic all that much, mostly because all the podfics that seem interesting are of fics that I've already read. But 
pod_together is happening right now, which means lots of podfics of fresh material, so I settled in to listen.
And got antsy just sitting there listening, and started tidying the living room, and ended up also emptying and reloading the dishwasher, folding a load of laundry, washing a load of laundry, refilling the ice trays, clearing off the kitchen table, and cleaning out my bag.
So basically what I'm saying is: okay, fine, you win mainstream fandom, I'll start listening to fucking Night Vale.
And also, I'm not spearheading it, but if anyone wanted to organize some kind of system where authors can make their fics (or descriptions thereof) available to podficcers before posting publicly to facilitate this sort of simultaneous-fic-and-podfic release on a more casual and regular basis, I'd sign up. I certainly would listen to podfic way more if the fics were new to me.
