In which I reveal my general lack of clue
So... I just realized that I've met Dr. Death Defying.
This was in 2006, a couple of days before I turned sixteen. I'd never heard of Mindless Self Indulgence--I just went to the concert because my friend Phil was going and someone offered me a ticket for ten bucks. It was a pretty good time. Halfway through the concert, I was sitting on a couch off to the side of the stage and Steve, Righ? wandered off the stage and sat down next to me, still playing his guitar. I was like, "Um... hey" and he was like "sup. Fuckin' tired of standing up there, this is comfy." Then the real fans realized what was going on and stormed him, so that was the end of our conversation.
Obviously I knew Dr. Death Defying was played by Steve, but the connection somehow never occurred to me until just now. I have written this guy as a character and I forgot that I had met him. /o\
(I have also kissed the lead singer of MSI, Jimmy Urine, and let me tell you how weird that made the first time I stumbled across him as a bandom character.)
