(no subject)
well... today was my first day on the job!
and i spent the first few hours of it just sitting in my car talking on the phone to DLL. lol i love a job where i basically make my own hours! ;op not that i would lie too much, and i do need to show some proof of work in regard to lists... actually... this is what i'm supposed to do:
go to buissness, offer the free gift cirtificates, then right down the names and phone numbers of those who will be receiving the gift certificate (after filling the gift certificate out as well). then list all the info into 2 diffrent charts at the end of the day at the Dr.'s office (the person im working for). its around 5 or 6 hours of work... though i can really choose to work shorter or longer if wanted... and i'm not sure if i have to work everyday either... but i need to since i want to save up as much money as possable.... though obviously can only do it as often as i have the gift certificates to give out.
and even though its not a hard job.... it still takes a hell out of me to even get myself to start it... once started i'm more or less fine... but still a bit miserable not wanting to work... but thank god for a bit less resposability then other jobs! however... there is one other person working as well... he does one side of rout 6... and i do the other... so... that kind of stinks due to it now being slightly competitive.... since... if he gives out a ton more then me.... well... i donno... lol.
but today i went to swanse mall... and gave out 100 of the gift cards! all i had actually... lol. however i was really discoraged and kind of scared at first because the first 7 or 8 stores i went to all rejected me! sniffle! lol i donno... they acted like people do to telermarketers on the phone... all nastey and stuff... and i was just offering a FREE certificate for a massage for themselves and employees (and anyone else they wanted to give it to, like their mom, etc).... i donno.... i mean.. i wouldnt want a massage personally... but i really dont know why people wouldnt want a tottaly free coupon thingy for one... most people seem to like the whole massage idea... esspically since the coupon on it says "$35.00" on it, like they had actually bought it themselves, and thus get magor "brownie points" from people. but dont work for gap.... they told me they arent allowed to give their employees anything! however, Limeted2 accepted them for the employess, and the manager and employee there at the time (two 20 something aged girls lol) between them had 30 diffrent freinds/family members to give some too! anouther store did the similar thing, which is awsome for me! every 100-200 gift cards i give away i get a $50 bonus! thus i got one today! yay!
i had to get up to be at the "minute man press" at 9 today however... which... i hate being up early... lol... but i picked up the gift certificates there.... and when i went back later in the day when i was done at the mall to get the rest of the ones that had been printed out, the guy there offerd me a job! lol... to pass out calanders to the near local buissness... but well... why the hell not? i need money for san fran after all lol so i'll give him a call on friday and see how that goes
but really.... if ANYONE HAS NOTHING TO DO CALL ME if u want to keep me company while i do these gift card give-a-way rounds. i havent finished up at the mall yet, and then theres building 19 and alperts... and tons of little buissness i need to go to eventually too.... i'm thinking of starting around 10 everyday... but can start later u you want to sleep later too.... and well... today i didnt even start untill around 12 and i still gave away 100 of them... so.... i really dont know how many hours long i would need. obviosuly im paid by the hour so thats important for makeing money.... but side trips or relaxing can be done in-between. bad juliette! someone will have to spank me as punishmant later. teehee lol but yes... let me know... because it would help motivate me better since it took 3 hours just to go into the damn stores today... which isnt too good.... and u get to hang out with me and get free rides to (perhaps) random places all day! :0D
but even though i gripe and moan... belive me... i am soooo thankfull for this job and see it as a real lucky gift! i just have such a hard time with "motivation" .....sigh i wish i could do more... if i give away 1,000 i get a $500 bonus! ....im just afraid that if i do a ton of the give aways at once... that they might not need me for the rest of the mounth.... which might mean less pay overall.... meep! but i'm parinoid :oP
*****oh! if any of you want a free massage or to give the certificate as a gift for christmass or soemthing, let me know! i'll hook u up ;op but really... like i said... it says $35.00 on it like a real gift certificate... so people will think u're spoileing them when its jsut a freebee! lol please note however, my darling long distince friends, this place is on rt. 6 in seekonk... so dont ask for them if its hours and hours of a drive for the people. :0)
