So Today...
So. Rotations.
Amanda is Northwest Track. I am SoCal track. They told us they'd be letting SoCal kids do Northwest rotations, but it turns out that doesn't apply to all NWT locations.
Results for the lottery came out today. Amanda got her 22nd choice (out of 35) and wound up in Medford, which is one of those locations. Currently, we don't know if we're going to be able to get me there.
I'm going to try to get to Corvallis (the closest rotation to available to me), but it's still a four hour drive. There are other people in Medford who'd love to trade with me if I wound up in Corvallis/Tacoma/Portland, but it doesn't seem like the school is willing to let people switch between tracks for whatever reason.
tl;dr: Amanda and Kevin possibly separated next year. Possible solution being tripped up by red tape. Kevin and Amanda looking for solutions, but sad in meantime.
