So quick update: Sex Week went well, and the field trip to the Museum of Sex went off pretty much without a hitch. Running off to NJ afterwards, the Repo Road Tour was absolutely awesome, and definitely worth waiting outside for an hour in the cold. We got great swag and autographs, sang our hearts out (as was encouraged), and got to meet a bunch of cool people. Guys, Repo! The Genetic Opera comes out TODAY - and it sounds like the results of the first week of sales will determine how much more they get to do with it (a prequel, going back on stage, even a graphic novel). So if you're thinking of getting the movie, try to do it soon. It's listed on amazon.com, and I know it's at least going to be in stock at Virgin stores starting today.
The rest of the weekend was barely restful at all because there was so much Jedi rehearsal. We're doing the same fight for two separate shows - Comic Con and Wicked Faire - but each show has its own staging needs. The Jovi/Glee fight is choreographed - done. A few things to smooth out, and practice to be done, but the monsterpiece that is our lightsaber tango is set. The Wicked Faire show was only recently written and there are some changes being worked in... and once my lines are written, there will be lines to memorize. On the plus side? I told Terrence Zdunich (Graverobber from Repo!) that we were doing the show, and he seemed interested in attending. That, and the script really is fun - it's the Candyland version of the original Star Wars trilogy.
I had a series of weird dreams last night, each its own little nightmare accosting me with a different fear - some I was aware I had, some were new. And some were... I mean, zombie goose, really? All but the last of them would have been at home in a horror movie - the last was psychological: I went to orchestra after a long absence, and it was right before the concert, but I knew that I could sight read the music if necessary. However, when I got there, other students (from my med class), and then the teacher (my high school orchestra conductor) angrily told me I'd missed 18 rehearsals, which was unacceptible. I'm surprised at myself that I tricked myself into thinking this situation was even realistic, since I haven't been in an orchestra since high school, and I don't play string bass. But ::sigh::, I'm disappointing people even in my dreams. I just reeeealllly hope it's just reflective of my past feelings, not reflective of the future.
