[OOC] Milliways-Legacy Information
For Kyle and Cati in particular, to use with Ben and Mara:
At the start of Legacy, Jaina and Jag's son Chak is approximately 2 years old. They have had their second kid, a boy Jonash, about a few months old. Like in the books, Jaina is a Jedi with Zekk as her partner. Jag is still with the Chiss military. She and Jag are sort of joked about as the worst parents in the 'verse.
At some point between 'Betrayal' and 'Bloodlines', Jag runs into Alema on a mission. With Alema discovering just how happy Leia's daughter is, she decides to start her revenge on Leia by ruining that. So she does some sort of sabotage and manages to frame Jaina. Jag gets the brunt of the Chiss anger and is finally kicked out and exiled.
(Wyn gets the shrimp farm so that it will become the hallmark of new empire with skunk stripes!)
Jaina and Jag move to Coruscant with their kids and books sort of follow with exception of children and marriage. Jag decides to take up bounty hunting (deciding the GA has too many undisciplined troops and not wanting to join the navy) to track down Alema. Partially because he wants revenge and partially because he wants to protect Jaina and Leia and people.
So, Jaina and Jag alternate between Jedi missions/GA navy/bounty hunting/kid rearing/etc. Always one parent at home, or in emergencies, Auntie Tahiri or Uncle Zekk babysit.
So, by 'Sacrifice', Chak is 3 and Jonash is 1. Jaina and Jag are working together on tracking Alema now. Jaina involved in things like in the book, and decides at the end after Mara's death that she needs to do more SotJ things. Very suspicious of Jacen. Jag gets to do lots of comforting.
