The park alongside the eastern bank of Liberation Lake is closed to the general public today. The sun still shines high in the sky, sparkling along the water as hawkbats forayed out of their dwellings in the undercity to try and catch the couree eels weaving their way in and out of the waves. In the not too far distance, the stone and

Someone's given him a script of sorts, that's very nice and official, and he supposes he's not supposed to waver from it.
Must be why it gets tucked in his jacket pocket after skimming the salient points.

He adjusts the sleeve of his impeccible white uniform over his cast, waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin.
Holy Force, he's getting married. Breathe, Jag. Breaaaathe.

Zekk stands in the back of the benches by the aisle, looking nervously out at the crowd in front of him. The joys of being a groomsman. He takes a breath, trying to calm both himself and Jaina, and waits for Tahiri to join him to walk down the aisle.

They march down the asile slowly in time to the music, and take their places to either side of the altar at the front.

Samantha presses her fingers to her mouth, trying not to giggle, as her conversation with Jaina last night returns blurrily to her mind. "Ready?"
"I am always ready." Shawnkyr answers stonily.
Sam rolls her eyes and together, they march down the aisle, in time, and take their places. Sam, still desperately trying not to laugh.

To say she's frightened is more than an understatement. No matter how hard she tries or whatever she does, she can't shake the worried feeling. It's harder than facing Zekk with a lightsaber, or a pack of voxyn, or Onimi on Yuuzhan Vong Coruscant. Probably the only thing harder than this is when she had to face Jagged as her enemy a month ago.
But somehow, they got through that. And somehow, she'd get through this.
Jaina takes a deep, calming breath, allowing the Force flow through her as she lets her shields drop slightly, relying on the the strength from some of the other Jedi present, especially Zekk and Jacen.
She plasters a confident smile on her face, she locks her eyes on her target - Jag's green eyes - and begins to walk down the aisle, not breaking her gaze until she stands next to him.

Then she is beside him and they turn to face Janson (why is he the one marrying them, again?) together.

Time to jam.
Clearing his throat, he begins, "Friends, family, all you old enemies--" The emphasis is on 'old' here as he half-grins at Baron Fel. "--most of us are here today to celebrate the marriage of Jedi Jaina Solo and Commander Jagged Fel." He hesitates briefly before adding, "Some of us are just here for the free food and I should warn you not to take anything from Captain Solo or General Antilles."
He'll deal with snark later.
"If any being has any reason why these two shouldn't be joined, well ... speak now."
He will shoot them.

"Artoo, I do believe that your assertions of assistance on this matter are entirely irrelevant. You do not have the capacity..."
beepabeeeeeeeeeep.
"I do believe Master Janson has this entirely under control...." Beeeepa! "Yes, even though he sounds like he's making fun of things. Now just... swtch off."
Beep.

If unhappy.
The corner of his mouth lifts in another quick smile at Jaina.

With an approving smile at the crowd (including the droids at the back), Wes nods, then turns to Jaina.
"So, Jaina," he begins, running over the script thing in his head. Best to stick to it here, he supposes. "Do you, uh, freely bind yourself to Fe-- Jag here, to be his partner, companion, aide and comfort for the rest of your life?"
He's pretty sure that's right.

"And Jag," he continues, a bit more cheerfully than is appropriate, perhaps, "you promise to ... forsake all others, to be Jaina's comfort and, er, confidant, lover, friend, and companion 'til the day you die?"

"I promise."

Right now, she's never felt so sure of anything.
“Dad once mentioned that Mom was his beacon star; some sort of bright and guiding flame that kept him on course. I don’t think I fully understood what he met until you walked in to our life, Jag," she says softly and pushes a strand of hair from her face. "You helped me through some of the hardest times I’ve ever experienced and made us want to live. You keep us grounded and safe and happy."
Jaina takes a deep breath and continues, "And despite everything we’ve done to you - the rudeness when we first met, pushing you away after the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, trying to kill you merely a few weeks ago - you’ve always been there. You’ve never let me stand alone if you could help it. And I’ve never stopped loving you, even when we - I - wanted to ( ... )
