Lessons on Cash
Got to ride another of the new lesson horses at the stable last night..."Cash". Cash (real name World Messenger?) is 24 years old and is a past equitation champion I'm told. He's a nice big horse (my favorite) and is in great shape for his age. Like most past competitive horses he gets more worked up as the lesson goes on but he behaved well. My instructor had me keep his head set very high and while he didn't have a lot of lift on his trot, his canter was great and he could go really slow, almost as slow as I could go with Juanita back in the day. We're going to be taking some time off at the stables with holidays and such but I hope Cash becomes part of my usual rotation.
