I has a pretty new camera! 'Tis all shiny and gorgeous and RED! How awesome is that? It's a Nikon Coolpix, and it has a 3" screen, which is fucking HUGE, and OHMYGODILOVEITSOMUCH.
And the best part? It was 40% off. That's right. I just bought a camera for less than $70. -insert awe here-
In other news, it's rainy today. Which sucks, 'cause it's always fucking raining on my days off. But it was beautiful this weekend. The fucking sky hates me.
And now for some serious thoughts on "Dual" because I'm too lazy to do an entire recap.
A lot of people are stunned and upset by the latest turn of events in the Peter/Nathan relationship, but really, I'm not. Nathan has a history of generally being an ass, especially to Peter. He's taken advantage of him time and time again, and yes, he loves him, but not as much as Peter loves him. Hasn't Angela being warning Peter about that since Day One of this series?
Have we forgotten New York? He still loved Peter then, but Nathan was totally willing to let him live with the guilt of killing millions of people so he could become President. He's corruptible; that's his character flaw. Yes, I know he seemed to be doing better since that whole incident, and yes, he said he would never be manipulated like that again, but even though he can fly, he's still human, and human beings make the same mistakes twice. It's our nature.
Not to mention the fact that all throughout the second season, when Nathan was all "I MISS PETER SO BAD", he thought he had lost him forever. And then they were reunited, and it was all sex!tiem happi!lovin!tiem, but then time passed, and it was back to the status quo.
As for what he said, let's not forget that they are brothers, and sometimes, siblings fight. I fight with my brother all the time. And to top it all off, Nathan was pissed off and frustrated (and probably more upset by Arthur's death than he let on), and sometimes, when people are angry, they lash out and say things that they don't mean.
Nathan loves Peter; it's a known fact, and as much as I, as a Peter/Nathan 'shipper, think I would love to see them happy and lovey-dovey all the time, the truth is I probably wouldn't. Because people and relationships aren't black and white. It's the reason the Peter/Nathan ship is so good, because the angst makes it real. Otherwise, we might as well be watching a Disney fairytale (not that there's anything wrong with Disney).
So to sum up, Nathan's a big jerk, but I'm not giving up on him yet.
I can't wait for "Fugitives".
I have another Heroes fic I'll probably post later today, focusing on "Dual".
God, I'm so tired. I need sleeeeeppp.
