I sent the following email to many people, but in case you're more the LJ person (::cough:: Tim ::cough::), I figured I'd copy it for you here as well:

Is anyone interested in dinner (or a snack) after tomorrow's game at
someplace like we did last year? Big Boys? Leasons? Coney Island?
I mentioned this to many of you, but I think we will be having an essay
to write in AP English on Tuesday. Because the reductions are due the
same day, I'm thinking that the essay's topic might have to do with the
three books, and what better essay than a compare/contrast one. So...
I thought it might be a good idea to get together and discuss what we
all think are important ideas/themes in the novels and what was similar
and different in them. We'd have to meet sometime before Tuesday, and
I'm open all weekend. If anyone wants to do it (and/or can host),
please relpy at the thread I post at butcher_clan (on LiveJournal) or
"reply to all" or something. (And if it turns out the essay is
entirely different or we don't even have one then we will just be
smarter. =D)
NHS Meeting September 9th in the morning (Butcher kids will
receive passes and be excused). No membership fee... yet (we'll vote
on one at the meeting - $3, if anything).
Anyone receive any MEAP scores or scholarship/award info??

Enough of that..
Today was interesting. I got a schedule change from Power Reading (no, not the one for people who actually intend to improve their reading speed/comprehension, but the one for people who cannot read or who's primary language is other than English - a mistake by Mr. F that was hilarious to all the other counselors) to an independent study in Spanish with Ms. Kasle. Hopefully it'll all work out and I'll do well on the Spanish CLEP (for college credit).
Wow... marching band... wow. "Is this all you can conjure?..." (just saw TTT yesterday =D) I hope I'm mistaken. Clarinet rehearsal @ 4:30 tomorrow... that's how pathetic 'twas. Then again, it was hoping too much for wishing Senior year marching band football season to start off with a bang....
::ends that rant::
Enjoy your nice long weekends, everyone.
