It worked, Sean was very surprised - I called him and he was like - "You're here? Really?! No shit, you're really here?" Haha, he was so trashed, I haven't seen him like that in a long time - there was stumbling and mass disorientation :-) But it was totally worth driving 7 hours there and back to see him. And next time I'm taking Southwest. Ugh.
I can't decide whether or not I want to fly back to AZ for Thanksgiving, or visit Sean in Ohio. My baby sister is putting on the heavy guilt trip because I dare to get a job in a different state. She really wants to spend more time with me, I think she'd move in with me if she could. I feel bad because I remember missing Aleksa when she moved out. I can't halt life in it's tracks to move home, even if I wanted to. On the other hand, there's pretty much no Thanksgiving to go home to in AZ. We used to always go to Aleksa's for Thanksgiving, but everything there has gone to the dogs with her divorce. Mom sure as hell isn't going cook dinner. We'd probably all end up at Carrabas or a Chinese buffet. I want to see my family, but I'm going to see them at Christmas to the max, and I don't know if I want to buy a $600.00 ticket for four days. I'd have to drive to Ohio to see Sean too... I wonder how long the drive would be, uck.
I'm soooo procrastinating on cleaning this house and unpacking my stuff, and doing my homework. I'm still pissed I don't get a Master's degree out of Nav training, I was so mistaken when I thought homework was gone with college. So terribly, horribly, sadly mistaken.
I REALLY want to buy a washer and dryer. Like, the 5 cubic foot washer that I can practically jump into for a dip, and the pretty matching washer. They come in pretty, shiny colors, with a steam option - wicked! And they're $2,000.00. Which is NUTS! Lowes is having a wicked sale - 20% off, which would make them $1,600 instead. I'm tempted to get one on credit and then slowly pay it off assuming I can buy a house and close on it before Nov. 31st and then get the tax credit for new homebuyers. But that's putting a lot of money on an assumption. When I look at it, I'm going to be paying for it no matter what. Either $5-$10 every time I go to the laundromat, or some ridiculous amount of money to rent a set from a rent-a-center (the rates mean that you actually pay TWICE as much as the cost of the item - it's extortion), or a monthly payment on a credit card. Ick. Ick ick ick.
