Remember, while you are celebrating "Fuck You, King George!" Day, that in the past few weeks dozens of Iranians have died and thousands more have been arrested, beaten, and raped in their fight for the same freedoms we enjoy every day (even if we rarely exercise them).
And remember that after the Declaration was signed on July 4th, 1776 it took almost five years of war to truly win our independence. Here's hoping the people of Iran don't have to fight that long.
So wear some green with that red, white, and blue today, and remember that freedom isn't found in lofty declarations, but on everyday people standing up and saying "This is WRONG."
