yuletide has closed the nomination list, with almost fifteen hundred rare fandoms on the list. I know one request I absolutely intend to make, but the other three change from minute to minute. There are just so many stories I think should exist! So I ask all of you: which would you read if somebody wrote it?

And in other news, Chris and I have renewed an old hobby! We started brewing beer when we were newlyweds, and it was always an activity that we really enjoyed doing together. Unfortunately, we had to give it up when Jacob became mobile because we knew there was NO way to keep him from messing with the carboy. Now, six and a half years later, we're trying again. Since we're out of practice, I figured we should start with a nice big heavy brew that would be more forgiving of mistakes. As I type, a Russian Imperial Stout is blowing its head off in our kitchen. It will be a long two months until we can drink it!
