-Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."

-I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity

-Update your journal with the answers to the questions

-Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions (I'll also answer more, if asked)

rabid1st asked me questions and here are my answers

1. Skydiving is a great way to start your novel. Would you ever skydive? Do you have any phobias?

I *want* to say I’d skydive, but I’m a big ol’ ‘fraidy-cat so I’d probably never get up the nerve to, I’d want to be able to try out virtual sky diving first :).

Aside from being a general ‘fraidy-cat one of my biggest phobias is of faris-wheels, I’m also scared of get on and off ladders at the tops, overcrowded spaces, and a certain number of crawly things.

2. Tell us about the best baseball game you've personally witnessed (can be on tv as long as it was in real time).

Well, one of my favorite memories from a game I went to was back when the Rockies still played at Mile High and I would have been…maybe 10 at the time. A game when we got to see an in the park home run, and as I recall several other awesome things possibly including a grand slam. Rockies games were a blast back in Blake Street Bombers era (which began before they actually played on Blake Street).

The play-in game in 2007 was awesome to although for the life of me I don’t actually *remember* much about it. I know for a fact I watched it, but it was all part of that awesome run of great games so I think, awesome as that specific one was I didn’t commit it to memory as much as I should.

This season probably the most memorable one was the 14 inning affair in mid august, where they fell behind in the top of the inning and came back to win it (including a grand slam) in the bottom.

All Rockies obviously.

3. What is your earliest happy childhood memory? One you are sure isn't embellished by stories or photos.

One of my really pretty early memories is of meeting the girl that would be my best friend throughout elementary school. We had just moved to Colorado and were I believe still unpacking when she and her brother rode over and introduced themselves. It’s a good memory, that fights not to be soured by the way our friendship pretty spectacularly destructed in middle school but I still remember it.

4. Best excuse for not writing you've ever heard...not including personal traumas like death/illness/divorce/hurricanes or whatever?

I don’t really commit people’s (including my) excuses for not writing to memory, so…don’t really have an answer.

Note that I am not writing right now because I’m doing meme responses.

5. What is your favorite Farscape episode?

Oh that’s hard. My first thought was it would be something in the back half of season 4 because I pretty much love all of it (except the D’Argo one unfortunately, sorry D) but the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the ‘Into the Lion’s Den’ eps, because that story is pretty damn epic and awesome and has just about everything you could want in them. So yeah, we’ll say that.

meme response, rockies baseball, farscape, real life
