Farscape, BSG, and Firefly
Farscape
1. My mom, and I think my sister, got into it before I did. I think there was a marathon on Sci-Fi or something a bit before season 4 started that I wandered in on Mom watching. I had to have a lot of things explained to me since it was sort of a haphazard collection of episodes from the first three seasons, but it sounded interesting. In all honesty it took until recently for me to even see all the episodes, there always seemed to be a few that I would miss even though I've seen some episodes of season 4 an unhealthy number of times.
2. I was never much in this fandom to begin with so there's really not much to move on from. That said I like the show and periodically come back to it, but that's not the same thing as staying in fandom.
3. Human Reaction, Hidden Memory/Nerve, Die Me Dichotomy, Fractures-Into the Lion's Den 2, Terra Firma and in fact basically the entire back half of season 4, and PKW.
4. I've got a couple of vid ideas but aside from that and a desperate desire to see Ten I post JE and Aeryn between seasons 3&4 fic which I'll probably never write I don't really have much to contribute.
5. More people should have watched it back in the day or it might not have been canceled, but I stil think more people should watch and make a big deal about it yeah. It's on some pretty intense crack but it's pretty good.
Battlestar Galactica
1. Saw the preview for the mini series, initially thought I wouldn't watch it since I should be avoiding Sci-Fi after the Farscape issue, bu the time the BSG mini rolled around I decided to give it a chance (boycotting Sci-Fi never worked very well). I thought the mini was interesting but didn't really fall in love with the show until season 1.
2. Drift away. Sadly this show had so much potential early on but it failed to keep up with it; I was fully prepared to have it be a new B5 that I'd love forever and ever, but by early/mid season 3 I knew that hadn't happened and wasn't going to.
3. 33, Kobal's Last Gleaming 1&2, Home 1&2, Pegasus/Resurrection Ship 1&2, Lay Down Your Burdens-Exodus, and the first part of the mutiny arc (second part makes me angry).
4. Bits of discussion here and there, again I have a couple vid ideas that I may or may not ever do, and I once tried to write some fic but discovered my heart wasn't really in it.
5. I suspect it's less angry-making if watched all together instead of strung out over all these years with those huge hiatuses, but it's not too high on my list of things I would recommend.
Firefly
1. This is a somewhat complicated story. I meant to watch it back when it was originally on since at that point I was still in Buffy-fan-mode and hadn't yet gotten kind of sour. However the universe seemed not to want me to get into it and some point I think it was actually the fault of me having a life (oh shockers)
Then a few months before Serenity came out, one of the guys in my main roleplaying group watched it for his own reasons and discovered that it had a huge similarity to our game and characters. So then we all decided to watch it together. And that's why my opinions on Firefly are forever wrapped up in my long term Star Wars rp character.
2. Yet another fandom I wouldn't really say I'm a huge part of. But since my love for it is caught up in the who and why I got into it when I really did it'll always be kind of special for that.
3. Out of Gas and Ariel, nothing too original to see here.
4. Pretty much no, I don't even have any good ideas for it to date. And I'm just not passionate enough about the show to talk about it much.
5. Yes, partly because it (sadly) won't take long to watch. I can't really say anything about the fandom since I haven't had much experience with it, but I think they're nice enough.
