week #3 is over already...
another friday... this week really flew by. being busy all the time has it's up and downs but it's helped me a lot. i really like working at the firm. everyone is so cool and even though it's a lot of work, i can already tell it's going to pay off.
my boss came to me today and said ive been going above and beyond her expectations and wants to put me on a special project with one of the attorneys in the firm (who is a partner!) because she knows i can get the job done. not to toot my own horn, but toot toot! lol i've only been working there two weeks so for her to pick me above the other 3 interns makes me feel like hard work is paying off. i'm glad when this project came up i'm the person she thought of to handle it. gotta make a name for yourself right?
hanging out with ashley b a lot lately. i never really thought we'd have that much in common but we've become pretty close lately. people call her sketchy and i think that might have been true before when it came to guys but i'm not trying to date her, i'm just her friend. she's a very smart, driven, responsible, focused person and i need to be surrounding myself with people who reinforce those qualities in me. we went out last night to TDs but didnt stay too late because we both had to work today and i had class this morning. had a good time, no drama. so refreshing.
this time next week i'll be in boston with my roommate ashlee! woo! we're staying at my aunt donna's and i think we're gonna have a really fun trip. we've become so much closer lately and she doesnt leave her comfort zone too much so this is really a branching-out time for her.
going home tomorrow just for the day to get some warmer clothes for the trip and get my hair cut...er...trimmed. i'm so upset with myself for cutting it all off this summer. this might be conceited but God only gives you a few good things. i got hair you can do almost anything with and i hacked it all off in june lol. but it's growing back so i just want to get a nice healthy cut so it'll be nice and long soon =) tomorrow's chris' 21st bday party so i'm coming back to orlando in time for that.
sunday is disney day, hopefully it wont be madness there. i can only go for a few hours cause i have so much to do in the way of homework, laundry, cleaning, blah blah blah.
not sure what's on the agenda for tonight. might go out with either ashley or naomi from work (who i love!) or both but i'm just taking it easy right now, regrouping from the crazy week.
