chase and i have a show this weekend. it's fairly small, only 6 tervs each day, but we really aren't ready. one of the many things i should be doing this week is working with him on stacking and gaiting. luckily, he's pretty good at it and falls right back into it pretty quickly. i'll brush him out tonight and then practice stacking him for about 5 minutes. that's more than enough time for him. i'm the one that really needs the practice. he does what i tell him, but i have to know what i'm doing. wednesday or thursday, or both, i'll practice running with him. again, for only about 5 minutes at a time, thank god! i can walk for miles, but seriously, don't make me run. thursday night will mostly be consumed with giving him a bath, blow drying him and brushing him until my arm falls off. oh, we need to trim up his paws and legs, too. maybe i'll have guy do that tonight. he's much better at weilding the clippers than i am. besides, i do everything else, he can contribute, too. showing in conformation really isn't one of my favorite things. i don't hate it, but it could be better. it could be fun. of course, maybe it is fun for those that win....
